Naoki Doi
I have worked as a taxi driver since 1992 and in that time have guided more than 10,000 people around Kyoto. I have guided and had a good time with the former President of the United States, Mr. Clinton, and the Oscar winning actress, Holly Hunter.
When I first started guiding there was little information in English on Kyoto and most of the street signs were not in English. Kyoto was very popular with foreign tourists already then and it was difficult for them to easily and smoothly move around Kyoto.
I retired from a taxi driver because of legal retirement age. I am working as a TOUR GUIDE from now on. Thank you for your patronage of Doi Taxi for 30 years. I will give tours with my friend taxi drivers. Taxis are organized according to the number of customers.
